Marine Station, Plymouth University

The marin station building accommodates state of the art teaching and research facilities that include classrooms, laboratory space and workshop areas.

The building is located between the national marine aquarium and Queen Annes' Battery on the shores of the Plymouth Sound making it ideally situated for the study of the ocean.

Red Twin Limited were appointed by the main contractor Balfour Beatty Construction to provide a full acoustic design service which included assisting the design to achieve the university's acoustic design standards, ongoing assistance during the construction stages and pre-completion testing.

The project was a finalist in the Building of the Year Awards 2015.
